EDUCATION IS THE KEY TO WOMEN EMPOWERMENT        Respected teachers and all my dear friends,a warm good morning to you all.  I am much delighted here before you on this occasion to get a golden chance to speak a few words before you on the topic " education is the key to women empowerment". Today is a special day for women, march 08,World women day.  Why march 08 is celebrated as women's day? Do you know?         Yes,it is the day when women are recognised for their achievements without regard to divisions whether national, ethnic, linquistic, cultural, economic,or political.       Indian women have been suffering under the male dominated society for several centuries. It is high time that they be emancipated. In many places women are denied of freedom, education and equal right as men. They also had to face crucial moments, when the men saw them as toys.        How can we overcome these problems to make a dream India, where there is the complete security and equa

Appreciation of ANY WOMAN

Image
Any woman ____________ The poem “Any Woman" is an amazing poem. It is written by Katharine Tynan. She is an Irish born poet  known mainly for her novels and poetry. This poem enhances the beauty of motherhood.                The speaker of this poem is mother. Through out the poem, the mother is metaphorically comparing herself with the integral structures of a house. The poem says that it is because of the presence of mother, that a house gets complete.          The mother is compared to pillars and keystone without which a house cannot exist, like when the mother is absent, the family cannot exist. A mother stands for being the foundation of the household who is loving, caring and supporting as well. She lays her warm and helping hands over the family and the children and helps them at their needs. She holds the family firmly and doesn't allows anyone to wander. A mother performs uncountable works throughout her life and doesn't complains about anything. She lo

* Women Empowerment*    Educated empowered women can play a major role in building a strong nation. Learning, labour and leadership skills make women more liberated.  Educated, Indian women have been suffering under the male-dominanted society for several centuries. It is high time that they be emancipated. If India wants to make progress and reach the level of a superpower, her women ought to be empowered. Women constitute about fifty percent of the world's population. Due to the lack of education, women are unable to contribute to the economy of the nation. Unless Women's potential is properly used, our nation cannot become an economic superpower.  In order to ensure the emancipation of women ,learning should be imparted to them. Educated women will be able to participate in the workforce. One of our basic norms should be "equal pay for equal work" and it should be ensured that property and inheritance laws don't discriminate against women.

Short-story

THE TRAIN Once upon a time, there lived a poor and elderly couple they used to visit the railway station of a small town every morning as well as evening. There, they wait for a particular passenger train, that arrives at six in the morning. The same train returns at seven in the evening. When again, they used to wait for its arrival and after the train left they returned home empty handed.     But in the five minutes that the train halted, the couple used to go in opposite directions. One towards the engine and the other towards the end of the train. As if looking for someone, and everyday they call out a particular name.     In the same platform there was a tea vendor who had his tea stall there for many years now. He lights his gas stove at 5 in the morning to make tea. His first customers used to be out of the same passenger train for which this elderly couple used to come and wait each morning and evening.     The tea vendor used to watch the couple quite attentively eve
