Women Empowerment

Respected principal sir and my dear teachers and my lovely friends. I am very glad to be here as a woman to speak some words on the topic women empowerment.  

 'Education is the most powerful weapon that one can use to change the world' says Nelson Mandela. Yes,  education is the weapon that can make your world offers equal privileges,  equal treatment and equal opportunities to both women and men. But we all know that women empowerment is not a topic that the said to be narrowed. Women empowerment  is a concept that should be realise realised by all the Seeds Of Women Empowerment can bear fruits only when they are planted in the hearts of children through education.

How can women become empovered when they do not come out of the four walls of their houses?. Women can be empowered and made self-reliant only when they are educated. Education opens before them a world which gives the dignity and a world in which women gain self-respect. According to a report published by World Bank " girls with little or no education are far more likely to be married and has children, suffers domestic violence,  live in poverty and lack sat over household spending to their own health care then better educated Peers. So, why does our society deny educational opportunities to girls and let them live in darkness.

We can build self confidence in women by the 3 L's of empowerment, learning, labour and leadership as Christine lagarde puts it. Women can become self confident only when they are educated. Quality education and provision of opportunities will open before them a new word in which they are aware of their capabilities. Women through education can understand that they have equal place in the society,  have the right to claim for equal treatment.She must realise that there is an indomitable power in her that can do wonders.

Creating awareness against sexual discrimination and taboos that exist in many parts of our society is a necessary step. More opportunities are to be be wielded by women so that they can secure respectfull jobs and even become entrepreneurs. In addition to equal opportunities, equal wages and status is also may be ensured in workplace. Role in administrative spheres political leadership and entrepreneurship will give her more confident. When women become independent and self-reliant they will definitely become confident.
