The Bond of Friendship

The title, Amigo Brothers, shows how important friendship is. ' Amigo ' means ' friend ' in Spanish, and Antonio and Felix take their friendship very seriously, although the two boys are very different. Boxing has always been a way for the two boys to connect.

The short story, "Amigo Brothers" by Piri Thomas, is about two boys who have grown up together and are such great friends that they feel like brothers. Set in New York City, but heavily influenced by Puerto Rican culture, the story describes the two boys' love of boxing

The fight goes on and on, and each boy takes a beating. By the end of the story, the boys have fought three rounds and ignored the final bell, wanting to have a winner by knockout. As the announcer goes to say who the winner is, the boys walk out of the ring, arm in arm

Friendship between Felix and Antonio,they were thick friends since childhood, growing up on the lower east side of Manhattan in the same tenement building. They were so close in friendship that they felt themselves to be brothers. Each one had the dream of becoming a lightweight champion one day.

 Highschool days,a bit good with computers and stuffs,he thought he would become an engineer,a tech geek who's life chair revolves around computer table. It was much later that he developed interest in architecture too,may be because he was close to his own house warming. Not a single conventional thought of becoming a doctor came to his mind. Soon that 16 year old boy took computer science in the same school he studied for the past 3 years.Wanted to be an Architect,he said.
